Since each of my daughters began attending New Life Ranch, both of them have come home having grown deeper in their faith and in their walk with the Lord. The annual theme, with its focus on a particular scripture and the truth it reveals, is the cornerstone for the week. It is taught from both a personal level, using the Bible study book prepared and given to each camper and the discussions between campers, counselors, and cabinmates. All of this is followed by a large-scale level during worship each evening.

Spending personal quiet time with the Lord is practiced during “Table for Two” each morning. This time is scheduled and allows for each camper to spend time alone in prayer and Bible study using the previously mentioned Bible study book. The hope is that throughout the week campers will begin the discipline of daily time with the Lord and will continue that discipline once they return home.

There are many opportunities for campers to share what they are learning and discuss Biblical truth with each other and their counselors. These intentional times of sharing allow campers to practice sharing their faith, testimony, and talk about the Lord in a safe place, in hopes that campers will be prepared to leave camp and do the same in their everyday lives!

Worship is another example of spiritual growth that I have seen in my daughters. The music and worship time is not shallow, but provides for a deeper awareness of God’s presence and His vast love for each camper. My daughters come home from camp listening to and preferring worship music over any other genre! They have even expressed a desire for deeper worship at church!
New Life Ranch has been such a positive influence on my children, from its spiritual impact to the relationships they have developed with other believers, both counselors and campers! We highly recommend it!
