New Life Ranch has two sites: Frontier Cove for grades 2-6 and Flint Valley for grades 7-12. Your placement is based on your skills and interests. As Christian leaders, we serve in various roles, and physical activity is part of the job. Applicants must have completed one year of college or the NLR Leadership Development Program. Positions are available for full or half summer.

Counselor
You will spend your day with campers laughing, singing, sharing the Word, and having fun as they learn about Jesus and experience camp. You’ll work alongside different co-counselors to take care of a cabin of campers each week, teach an activity class, lead Bible studies, and get to know each camper on a personal level, ultimately to share Jesus Christ with them.

Medical Team
Someone needs to help keep the kids safe! The Medical Aide works directly alongside our medical team (we bring in a doctor and nurse each week) in helping treat injuries and illnesses of our campers. Have an interest in being a health professional or need hours for your resume? This position is for you.

Media Team
If there aren't any pictures or video, did the summer even happen? This job requires creativity, some experience, and a desire to make it a ministry. You are in charge of capturing, editing, and producing content that best demonstrates a week of camp. Equipment is provided.

Worship Team
The worship team is for those gifted in leading young people to the throne of God through music. This includes leading age appropriate worship for both Juniors (3rd– 6th graders), Seniors (7th –12th grade), and Leadership Development Campers (10th-12th grade), as well as leading our famous Flock Fiesta for Day Camp and Morning Camp Party for Summer Camp.

Lifeguard
If campers could pick only one activity to do all week, we can almost guarantee it would be swimming! Lifeguards aim to keep our campers safe in all swimming areas. An up-to-date certification in lifeguarding is required.

Grounds Crew
Members of the Grounds Crew will be responsible for maintaining the overall appearance of the grounds at NLR. You will also have the opportunity to facilitate Nehi Project Work Crews on occasion (sometimes weekly to multiple times a week). This job requires a willingness to work hard, a desire to pour into young people and to be part of a team.

Wranglers
Horses are what make us a Ranch! Wranglers work specifically with our horsemanship program. You must have knowledge of riding, tack, and routine care of horses. You will teach up to 3 classes a day (from beginner to advanced riders), care for horses (grooming, feeding, etc.), and lead trail rides in the afternoon.

Activities Team
There are tons of activities going on during the summer, and we need people passionate about making them all happen! From the ropes course to the boats at Lake Hudson to leading hikes, your job is to make sure kids have an incredibly fun time!

Food Service Team
The mission of NLR food service is to abundantly feed every guest so that hearts are open for the gospel and prepared for ministry. Kitchen leaders are servant-hearted people dedicated to fulfilling that mission. They help lead other summer staffers, campers, and volunteers in order to change lives and serve excellent food. All kitchen positions work in shifts and get to participate in other areas of summer camp each day when not in the kitchen. So you receive a variety of experience and camper interaction in this position!
