Hey friends and partners,
I hope and trust you all had a wonderful Christmas season and a strong start to the new year.
I realize there’s a good chance many of you are walking through challenges right now. There are heavy things happening in our country and around the world that can easily weigh us down. I’ve been encouraged recently by Paul’s words to the church in Corinth—a church that certainly knew hardship.
2 Corinthians 1:3–7
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God… And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.”
2 Corinthians 4:6–9, 16–18
“For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ made his light shine in our hearts… We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair… Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day…”
And finally, Jesus’ words in John 16:33:
“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
No matter what challenges you may be facing—though they are very real, painful, and difficult—be encouraged today. Do not lose heart. Fix your eyes on Jesus. Be renewed inwardly day by day by spending time with Him in His Word. And please don’t walk alone—talk with someone, ask for prayer, and allow others to come alongside you.
Thank you again for partnering with the ministry of New Life Ranch through prayer. We are fully into retreat season and already preparing for a great summer of ministry that will be here before we know it.
Here are a few specific ways to pray:
- Over 60 retreat groups will be served over the next two months at both New Life Ranch Frontier Cove and Flint Valley. Pray that the gospel is clearly proclaimed and believers are equipped (that’s our mission 🙂).
- Summer Camp 2026 registration — that as many kids as possible can come, hear the gospel, grow in their faith, and experience the funnest week of their year.
- Recruiting and hiring summer staff — we’ve hired 170 so far and still need around 70 more.
- The Generations Campaign — only $45,000 remains to reach our $6.25M goal as we work to ensure New Life Ranch is sustainable for generations to come.
- Mission 19:14 Camper Scholarship Fund — we’re thankful to be nearly 70% funded toward our May 31, 2026 goal.
Thank you so much for your continued partnership through prayer and giving. If you have any questions or would simply like to talk about anything New Life Ranch–related, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
In His grip,
Tom Graney
