Timothy Team
Session 1

Timothy Team

Level 2 of Leadership Development

Leading Others

In Timothy Team, campers learn about discipleship and perseverance. Like Paul’s relationship with Timothy, campers are both discipled and equipped to disciple others. Campers practice and develop grit, resilience, and character through experiencing and overcoming challenges alongside their peers with mentorship and discipleship from their leaders.

Program Elements

The focus of Timothy Team is to equip participants with practical leadership skills while building on the Nehemiah foundation of servant leadership. This 2 week session starts with training and team building, then a backpacking trip. Finally, they put together everything they have learned so far in the Leadership Development program to lead a group of elementary ages kids during Day Camp.

Backpacking Trip

During the backpacking trip, each Timothy Team participant is necessary to the success of the trip. There will be different roles assigned to the participants. Be it navigating from New Life Ranch to the camp area, purchasing food and preparing meals, and using a map and GPS to determine the hike route, this trip is sure to create tight bonds in the team!

Bible Study & Chapel

Timothy Team looks at the relationship between Timothy and Paul, and the importance of discipleship. Each day, the Timothy Team will have a bible study using the books 1 and 2 Timothy, and then each night they will attend a chapel uniquely designed for Leadership Development participants.

Day Camp

Timothy Team participants are given the chance to put into practice all of their Leadership Development experiences from Nehemiah Team and the previous week when they are tasked with leading Day Camp! Tim Teamers are responsible for caring for a group of 1st-4th graders, leading them through activity classes, and making sure that they have a great experience at New Life Ranch!

In order to apply for Timothy Team, campers must have completed Nehemiah Team.

Teens Need Camp.

As a parent of a teen or pre-teen, you are probably well aware of the major changes taking place in their lives. They are trying to find their own identity and community, trying to figure out their faith, and trying to learn how to filter out the noise of this world. You are no doubt looking for every opportunity you can to help your teen navigate through those changes with confidence. In the Leadership Development program, teens will find belonging in authentic biblical community, gain confidence by experiencing new and hard things in a safe environment, and they are absolutely 100% guaranteed to hear the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
