Nehemiah Team

Level 1 of Leadership Development

Servant Leadership

In Nehemiah Team, campers focus on service as modeled by Christ. They learn that service is foundational to Biblical leadership, as well as Biblical community. Campers grow to see and experience that God calls us into an individual relationship with him, but not on our own; God uses our relationships to encourage, to refine, and to guide others.

Program Elements

Nehi’s serve camp behind-the-scenes in a variety of work crews (kitchen, housekeeping, grounds maintenance, etc.), study the book of Nehemiah, worship and soak up teaching during nightly leadership chapels, strengthen bonds through team building activities, and make lasting memories on an overnight camping trip.

Work Crews

Nehi’s serve behind the scenes to help make camp happen! This might be picking up trash around camp, serving meals in the kitchen, or blazing new trails on our grounds.

Team Building

Nehi’s are taught how to work as a team and the importance of learning to trust and rely on others.Throughout their two weeks Nehi’s will participate in five team building activities including low-ropes and high ropes elements, designed to stretch them as a team, and ultimately learn what it means to work together effectively.

Adventure Trips

The trip is designed to makes a lasting impression as students step outside of their comfort zones. The team will head toRobber's Cave, where they will spend the day swimming, rappelling, and camping out for the night.

Bible Study & Chapel

Nehi’s focus on the life of Nehemiah as an example of how to live as a servant of God. Each day they will study the book of Nehemiah, and then have a chapel unique to their Leadership Development experience.

In order to apply for Nehemiah Team, campers must be entering at least the 10th grade.

Teens Need Camp.

As a parent of a teen or pre-teen, you are probably well aware of the major changes taking place in their lives. They are trying to find their own identity and community, trying to figure out their faith, and trying to learn how to filter out the noise of this world. You are no doubt looking for every opportunity you can to help your teen navigate through those changes with confidence. In the Leadership Development program, teens will find belonging in authentic biblical community, gain confidence by experiencing new and hard things in a safe environment, and they are absolutely 100% guaranteed to hear the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
