Remembering Loved Ones

Honoring a loved one with a memorial gift is a meaningful way to continue their legacy of faith and generosity. A gift to New Life Ranch helps us carry out our mission of proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ and equipping believers for ministry. Every memorial gift supports our ongoing efforts to make a lasting impact in the lives of those we serve. We are grateful to those who have chosen to celebrate the life of a loved one in a way that brings hope and transformation to others.

Thank you for keeping their memory alive through your generosity.

New Life Ranch and leadership development meant the world to Claire. She was so excited to spend this June with her amazing friends at New Life training to be a counselor. This program has brought her so much joy and love for life and Jesus. Claire would love nothing more than to help others have the same experience. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the New Life Ranch scholarship program. Any amount would mean the world to Claire.

Timothy Carson was born November 29, 1963, in Van Buren, Arkansas, to Don Samuel Carson and Katherine Ann Claphan Carson. He died Sunday, January 19, 2025, in Claremore, Oklahoma, at the age of 61 years. Tim completed his secondary education in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and graduated with the East Central High School Class of 1981. It was shortly after that he served his country honorably with the United States Army. He worked various jobs throughout his life, but was most proud to work as a forklift operator with Baker Hughes.

Tim enjoyed a variety of pastimes, especially racing cars and NASCAR. He enjoyed time spent outdoors hunting and fishing. As a young man he spent time as a bull rider and going to rodeos. He was an avid Oklahoma Sooner fan. Tim was considered an amateur weatherman and seemed to always know what was going to happen before it got here. One of the things he enjoyed immensely in the last few years of his life was New Life Ranch. His daughter's husband and their family - Rhea and Drew, Owen (6), and Piper (4) Shahan - moved on to full time staff in the fall of 2021 and Tim was a near weekly visitor the last 3+ years. He particularly loved the horses, and participated in horse camps and Family Camp trail rides with his wife, Dotty.

In memory of Tim and the impact it had on him, the family has asked that memorial funds go towards the Horse Program at New Life Ranch. Any giving through this page will be allocated accordingly.

In honor of their father, grandfather and great grandfather, the Laswell family is creating this memorial fund to benefit the Mission 19:14 Camper Scholarship fund.

This fund honors the legacy of Gene and his time serving at NLR. Mr. Gene loved camp and working to fulfill the mission of NLR. These funds will go towards the Founders Endowment, the earnings of which support scholarships in perpetuity for camper families who need assistance to cover the cost of camp.
