At New Life Ranch Summer Camp, campers get to do things like ride horses, canoe, rock climb, launch off the blob, and worship God, all while building relationships with peers, counselors, and ultimately Jesus Christ.

2018 Camp Schedule

Summer Camp is split into Junior Camp (going into grades 3-6) and Senior Camp (going into grades 7-12). Click below to see availability.
Availability details are not updated in real-time. When in doubt about current availability go ahead and register!

Availability Definitions

OPEN
This means there are currently spots available… for the moment. Things change quickly! If the chart says “Open” for your camper’s grade/gender, and you submit a registration, you can assume your camper has a spot. If there is a problem, we will notify you.
LIMITED
There are spots available, but they are going quickly- you will want to register right away. If you go ahead and submit a registration and payment for a “Limited” availability week of camp, your camper’s spot at camp is not yet definite. Even though your registration was submitted and a payment made, we still need to manually confirm that there is a spot for your camper. If a spot is not available for your camper we will contact you to let you know. Otherwise, no news is good news! Your patience in this process is greatly appreciated. If you absolutely need to know something right away, please wait at least 24 hours to call us and check to see if your spot is confirmed. It takes time to manually confirm spots at camp.
WAITLISTING
We are full for your camper’s grade/gender, but your camper can be registered for the wait list. It’s a great idea to place your camper on a wait list. Depending on interest and bed availability we are occasionally (but not always) able to expand capacity to get more kids in. If a spot opens up for your camper, we will notify you. It’s a good idea to register for the wait list as well as a second choice week of camp just in case your first choice week doesn’t work out.

When in doubt, go ahead and register! If there are any problems we will let you know!

Paid Activity Classes

There are a few classes that require very specialized equipment. These classes have an additional fee associated with them in order to cover the costs. All classes are open to both Jr. and Sr. campers unless otherwise noted. These classes take up one of two activity classes campers participate in each morning.
*There will also be a chance for campers to sign up for some of these activities during Free Time throughout the week. The cost of the classes vary and will be taken out of their canteen.

Scholarship Information

Our hope is that finances will never stand in the way of someone coming to camp. We want to help kids and families come to New Life Ranch that might not otherwise be able to because of financial reasons. So, if the financial aspect of camp makes it difficult to imagine sending your child to camp, we want to partner with you and help make it easier. There is not an income level requirement to apply.
There are two ways to apply:

On-line: The easiest way to apply. Go ahead and start your Summer Programs registration, and when you reach the Camper Profile form (or the “Additional Information” form for Family Camps, Horse Camps, and Winter Camps) there will be a question that asks, Would finances keep your camper from being able to attend camp? If so, would you like to apply for a need based scholarship?
If you say “yes”, you will be asked four additional questions. Complete these, continue with your registration, and when you reach the payment screen, choose the payment option that says “I am applying for a need based scholarship.” Once you submit your registration, the first phase of your scholarship application will also be submitted. The last thing you’ll need to do is mail in a letter from your camper about why they’d like to come to camp. Once we receive your camper’s letter, we will notify you within 14 business days of your scholarship award.

By mail: For those without internet access, you can request a paper scholarship application. You will then send us the completed application and two required letters: one from you explaining your financial circumstances and one from your camper explaining why they’d like to come to camp. You will also need to register for camp prior to our review of your scholarship application.

When you are completing the on-line or paper application, you will be asked, Please put the dollar amount (any amount except $0 is acceptable) you are able to invest in your camper’s experience (this does not include activity classes or canteen). To clarify, the scholarship award will not cover any camp “extras”- this includes things like paid activity classes (don’t worry- there are plenty of free activity classes available), canteen deposits, t-shirts, camp pictures and DVDs. The scholarship award can only be applied to the base fee for the session.
Due to the high number of scholarship applicants, we are unable to provide full scholarships that cover 100% of the cost. We want to partner with you and our hope is to be able to make up the difference between what is feasible for you to pay and what camp costs. Any amount beyond $0 is acceptable for you to contribute. We truly want to know an honest estimation of what you can pay.
No. Any camper can attend any week of camp, provided there is space available. However, our weeks of camp are priced differently based on demand, and the scholarship awards are typically based on the least expensive weeks of camp. This means that if you register your camper for Week 4 (the most expensive week, which costs $700), and you say you can pay $200, ideally we would hope to award a scholarship of close to $430. That would mean that you could send your child to Week 4 and your portion would be around $270*. Or, you could send your camper to Weeks 1, 5 or 9, our least expensive weeks of camp, which cost $630, and your portion would be around $200*.

*This does not include extras, like canteen deposit and paid activity classes.

We will need an explanation of your financial circumstances. This does not have to be lengthy, but rather a summary of your situation. We will also need to have a letter from your camper about why they would like to come to camp. (The camper letter is not required for Family Camps.) We do not need financial records, tax records or other paperwork along those lines.
We will give you an answer within 14 business days after we receive all of the necessary information. If you are applying for a program that takes place less than 14 days away, we will work to expedite the process and get an answer to you before the start of the program. Please note: if you submit your scholarship application less than 48 hours before the start of an event, we may not be able to give you an answer before the event starts. In the rare instances when this occurs, we still want your camper to attend the event even if you may not have an answer yet regarding your scholarship award. You will want to speak to the Administration Coordinator (info@newliferanch.com) if this is your situation. They will assist you with details about check-in and payment since your scholarship application is still “in process”.
Due to the volume of scholarship requests we receive, we limit assistance to one event per season. For example, one session of Summer Camp, Leadership Development or Day Camp in the summer and/or one retreat event per camper per year (Horse Camps, Family Camp, Winter Camp).
Mission 19:14 is our camper scholarship fund. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14. We receive donations to this fund from numerous individuals, foundations and organizations.
Please let us know. As mentioned before, we never want finances to stand in the way of someone coming to camp. We want to partner with you in this process. If the award does not meet your needs, we can always review your information and attempt to provide more assistance if it is available.
If your past balance is something that you are not able to pay off, we want to partner with you in order to get that cleared away so you can move forward with new registrations. You will want to contact us (info@newliferanch.com) and request a scholarship application. You can then complete the application as it relates to your past balance. We’ll still need to know an amount you can pay towards it, and we’ll need a summary of your financial circumstances. (You will not need to submit a camper letter.) Ideally, we’ll be able to provide assistance to you to get your past balance taken care of, and then you can go ahead and register your camper for an upcoming program. You would still be eligible to pursue scholarship funding the traditional way for this new registration.
Unfortunately, no. Our camper scholarship fund is for kids who can’t even come to one week of camp, so if you are able to pay for one week, we need to reserve the funds for campers who wouldn’t be able to attend at all.

More Stuff to Know

All camp programs include activities that have some hazard. We evaluate all programs and activities in regards to safety. All campers are accounted for at scheduled events throughout the day. Intercom telephones are in every building. All of our staff are certified in CPR. We have multiple certified lifeguards on duty at all times in addition to all staff being trained in the policies and procedures at the waterfront and pool. In an emergency, a medical team is on duty at camp 24/7, and a hospital is 20 minutes away. NLR will follow the attending physicians advice until parents or guardians can be reached. You will be contacted as soon as possible in the case of any emergency. A signed medical form must be on file for your camper to attend camp.
If you cancel your week of camp at any point, you will forfeit the $100 registration deposit (it is also non-transferable). If your camper becomes ill during the week, we will refund a portion of the camp fees (sorry, no refunds for homesickness). There is no cancellation deadline, but If you decide to cancel, please do so as soon as possible to allow another camper to come to camp.
All medication must be turned in to the medical team at check-in. This includes everything from vitamins and essential oils to prescription medication. All prescription medication must be in the original pharmacy container. The camper and doctor’s names, date, name and dosage of drug must be on the label. Our medical team stocks a wide variety of over-the-counter drugs and will dispense as needed according to instructions and doctor’s standing orders, unless prohibited in writing by parents.
Visitation is limited to Sunday arrival, Saturday departure, and the Friday night testimony service, 6:30pm (Jr.) and 7:45pm (Sr.). Visitors will be asked to leave after the service.
If your camper should require a doctor’s visit or prescription while at camp, you will be solely responsible for the charges incurred. You will be contacted before non-emergency doctor’s visits and your insurance information will be confirmed at that time. We must have your insurance information on file for your camper to attend camp.

Camper Emessage

Send your camper an emessage while at camp. They will be excited to hear from you!

When will my message be delivered?

We deliver messages Monday-Friday around 11am. Any message sent after 11am will be delivered the following day.

Why can’t my camper respond?

We want your camper to have a fully immersive experience at camp, and having them sit in front of the computer to respond to messages would definitely be a distraction! They can always go old-school and send a postcard home!
