Every week of camp at New Life Ranch is essentially the same camp experience. Each week has different themes and different speakers, but all the staff and programming (schedule, free time activities, activity classes, etc.) are the same. The only exception is Week 6 - Senior Week (only 7th - 12th grade can attend Senior Week). We price the weeks of camp differently based on scheduling demand, not on any difference in quality of staff or programming. Early weeks and late weeks are historically less attended, so we are trying to encourage a full week of camp for every camper regardless of which week of camp is selected.
CAMPER AGES:
NLR is for campers going into the 3rd - 12th grade. Jr. Campers are 3rd - 6th grade, Sr. Campers are 7th-12th grade.
EXPLANATION OF ACTIVITY CLASS FEES:
Activity classes that require no additional fee: (campers will sign up for these classes upon arrival at camp) There are many no-fee activity classes including:Riflery, Archery, Drama, Mountain Man, Arts and Crafts, Canoeing, Swimming, Gym and Field Sports, Disc Golf, Tennis, Weightlifting, Photography, Skeet Shooting, and Slingshot.
Activity classes with an additional weekly fee: (Sign up on the registration form): Ropes, Climbing & Rappelling, Horsemanship, Horse Vaulting, and Mt. Biking (the Mt Biking fee is $35 per week for bike and helmet rental. No fee is charged if the camper brings his/her own bike and helmet. Please check the Mt. Biking box on the registration form even if the camper is bringing his/her own Mt. Bike and helmet).
The only classes that you need to sign up for on the registration form are those that have a fee. Campers will sign up for all other classes after they arrive at camp. Mt. Biking does not have an extra fee if you bring your own bike. If you do bring a bike it must be a mountain style bike with wide tires and multiple gears. Please sign up on the registration form even if you are bringing your own bike so we can plan accordingly.
Senior campers (grades 7-12) take two classes per week, and are able to take High Ropes, Climbing & Rappelling, Horsemanship, Horse Vaulting, and Mt. Biking for an additional fee. Senior campers can take one or two extra fee activity classes.
Junior campers (grades 3-6) take a variety of classes each week. If a junior camper takes an extra fee class he or she will take that class every day of the week. Junior campers can take Horsemanship, Horse Vaulting, Climbing & Rappelling, and Mt. Biking for an additional fee. Junior campers can take one or two extra fee activity classes. If Juniors are not in a paid activity class they will rotate between a number of classes to give them an idea of all that NLR offers.
PAINTBALL:
$30 per week. Senior campers have the chance to participate in a game of paintball during the week. Campers receive all equipment, professional referees, and 100 paintballs for a three hour game of paintball. (Additional paintballs can be purchased at the rate of 100 for $5.00 which comes out of the camper's canteen account) Paintball is not an activity class.
Registration and Cancellation Policy:
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. You may cancel or make change requests at any time up to four weeks prior to your camp date. Due to frequent cabin switches, NLR cannot give advance notice of a camper's cabin.
