  1. What do we do if it rains? Everyone needs to bring a rain jacket because we will be outside as long as it there is no severe weather.
  1. Speaking of severe weather, what happens if the forecast calls for bad weather?  NLR has multiple safe rooms for our guests. Resident staff monitor weather conditions and will move guests to safely until conditions are deemed safe. We adjust the program based upon the weather so the adventure is not hindered.
  1. Where is the nearest Wal-mart? Siloam Springs, Arkansas is 15 minutes away from NLR.
  1. How many parents can attend?  We see a real value in bring as many adults as you can. Relationships are built between parents and teachers, between parents and parents and even between parents and students. The more people having a shared experience the bigger the impact upon returning home.
  1. What is the price for parents?  The cost is the same for everyone as everyone shares in the adventure!

  1. Will flip flops and crocks work for wading in the creek?  These types of shoes tend to float away with the current unless they have some form of heal strap. Old tennis shoes or active sandals work best.
  1. What is the dress code?  We are outside playing hard. Seasonally appropriate chooses need to be made based on the learning adventures you are scheduled to do. Shorts are great during warmer months but do ask that short shorts not be worn on the challenge course for safely and modesty reasons. We request clothes promoting inappropriate behavior be left at home.
  1. Is it alright for our student worship band to lead worship during chapel?  Yes. Several schools throughout the year bring their bands or a worship leader. Some even provide their own speaker. Most schools enjoy not worrying about it and allow us to take care of everything.
  1. Can we ride horses?  The horses are currently being used in our community outreach program call The Right Lead. Children and students from the surrounding community are partnered with a Godly mentor with the horse being the bridge to a better relationship with God.  We do have a “Horse Sense” learning lab for those wanting to learn more about how God crated the horse as a special animal.
  1. How are medical issues handled?   Each guest group is responsible for their medical situations. Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital is located 15 minutes away as well as several pharmacies.  First aid supplies and medical attention are the responsibility of the partnering ministry. We recommend that you have at least one adult leader who has up to date certification for CPR and First Aid. It is also our recommendation that you keep a list of all names and addresses of your group with emergency contact names and phone numbers. We would also advise to have a signed permission slip for all minors in case of the need for emergency medical treatment. It would also be wise to indicate on your list any type of special health conditions people might have. Please be prepared to communicate your first aid responsibility and be prepared to handle these situations within your group. Transportation for medical care is also the responsibility of the guest group. Intercom phones and on duty NLR staff can be utilized to arrange emergency medial care and assistance. PLEASE BE READY. Suggested First Aid Kit supplies: bandaids, double antibiotic ointment, ace bandages, latex gloves, sterile gauze, medical tape, peroxide, tylenol type 
  1. How can I be reached in case of an emergency?  The NLR Staff monitor an portable office intercom phone 24/7.
  1. Most importantly, what about coffee?  Most of our meeting room are equipped with coffee makers just for you!
