community ministries

Community Ministries at New Life Ranch exists to be a transforming agent in our community. Our desire is to see children and families in the surrounding towns healed and made whole through a personal relationship with Christ. We strive to partner with the people in our community in order to make these towns places where God is glorified.  Right Lead is the longest-running Community Ministries program, developed at New Life Ranch in 1998. Each week students of all ages arrive at the Ranch to clean out stalls, groom their horses and then ride. They are engaged in a unique lesson and discussion using the horses to explain various aspects of God and Christian living. With the focus on the love and salvation given freely by Jesus Christ, the kids learn responsibility, horsemanship and relationship.

Right Quest is an outdoor ministry using challenge initiatives to build a bridge between students and mentors. Community Ministry leaders guide mentors and students in exciting outdoor activities that build teamwork and life skills. Each session is designed with an activity, lesson and discussion time that focuses on God’s love for us and the need for relationship with Him.

Here’s how you can be involved:

Become a Mentor
Young Boy

Mentors walk side by side with their students. They encourage, listen and guide. They provide the unconditional love that so many of the students have never experienced. You don’t need to know anything about horses or be an outdoor expert to be a mentor! All you need is a willing spirit and a passion for kids. We will provide you with sufficient training to help you become a successful mentor.

Mentor responsibilities include:

Become part of the Transportation Team
Young Boy

Transportation team members are assigned students to pick up and/or drive home before and after their class. This is an essential part of our ministry because many of our students live in rural areas, making it very time-consuming for our leaders to pick up everybody in a class.

Transportation Team Responsibilities include:

Sponsor a student
Young Boy

A student may be sponsored for $200 per semester. Gifts of any amount will help off set the program. If you would like to contribute, please send your donation to
