Thank you so much for your prayers as we continue to serve into this fall season. Here are some thing you can be praying for in October:
Outdoor Ministries – We’re a little over halfway through the season, meaning we have about 10 more schools that will be coming out over the next month. Continue to pray for life change as kids have the chance to be in creation and hear about the Gospel.
Our last update happened during Jenks Wild. 6th graders from Jenks public school were here over the course of 3 weeks. We ended up with 868 students and 231 adults that attended. Pray that a lot of those students will come back to summer camp in 2018.
Community Ministries – is also about halfway through this semester of ministry with local community kids. Please continue to pray for those 70 students and their relationship with their mentor. It’s our hope that through the loving, Gospel-centered relationship with mentor and mentee, and through the Biblically based curriculum they’re working through, lives will be transformed.
– pray for kids who are struggling in school
– pray for tough home situations, parents divorced and continued fighting that takes place
– pray for parents to get jobs that are needed
Impact Campaign, Phase II – As we’ve continued to grow, NLR has added more cabins and more meeting space, and now it’s time to increase our dining hall and remodel/update our 35 year old kitchen. Please pray for the needed funds to come in. We’re about halfway to be fully funded. Also, please be in prayer for our full time food service team (Bill, Danny, Martin, & Matt), as they continue serve so many guest. This past summer we served around 110k plates of food and are on target to serve over 210k plates for the whole year.
Thank you so much for your prayers. We need folks continually going before the Lord on our behalf. So thank you!
